You should follow your lab’s SOP, but standard laboratory handling guidelines (in order of preference) indicate:

Frozen (–20°C or lower): Stable for up to 2 years
Refrigerated (2–8°C): Stable for up to 6 months
Room temperature (dark, dry): Stable for up to 4 weeks
