Tesamorelin

Tesamorelin (GHRHR) TH9507 is a synthetic peptide and analog of growth-hormone-releasing hormone. It stimulates the pituitary gland to produce growth hormone. It is used to reduce excess abdominal fat by researchers.

Tesamorelin is used primarily as a reference standard, an in vitro/in vivo assay component, and a tool to study the growth hormone axis. Because it selectively activates the growth hormone-releasing hormone receptor (GHRHR) on pituitary somatotroph cells without overriding natural negative feedback loops, researchers use it to investigate upstream endocrine pathways and metabolic processes.
